5 easy meditation techniques for beginners

In this article you will learn 5 amazing and powerful meditation techniques for beginners. Meditation is an extremely healthy thing and is considered by some people as a miracle worker in life.

The vast majority of people who have issues with meditation do not realize how truly simple the practice can be. If you’ve been told it takes years of practice to master the art of meditation, consider these 5 easy meditation techniques for beginners and allow them to transform your way of thinking.

5 Easy Meditation Techniques For Beginners:

1) Invest Fifteen Minutes for Meeting With Yourself:

How often do we waste minute after minute in our lives and not even realize it? Making it a point to invest fifteen minutes a day into meditating can change your life in esoteric ways. For beginners, this is the perfect amount of time to give yourself to ease into understanding how meditation will work for you.

There is no need to sit for endless hours, expending energy fruitlessly. Instead, make it a habit to set aside fifteen minutes around the same time each day and you will soon see those fifteen minutes seem but mere seconds.

2) Candle Staring Can Help to Rain in Careless Thoughts:

Though meditation should not be a thoughtless act, it does need to be focused. This is often one of the most reported difficulties among those who are just starting on the journey of meditation.

Lighting a candle and focusing on its flickering flame can still the mind and bring the body into focus. As each thought enters your mind, it is your call to decide whether to let it burn away as nonsense or focus on it, so the flame grows more intense in your mind.

3) Visualization Makes Mediation Easy:

Meditation is the art of practicing a higher focus on your thoughts, feelings, and intuitions. It is different for everyone, and there is no solid right or wrong way to pursue it. One natural method has helped many people who are struggling to know how to begin meditating.

Visualization is a powerful medium for transporting the mind where it needs to go. Fully focusing on yourself in an idyllic setting can allow you to use your thoughts to bring that image into your lucid imagination. You make this visualization so real it becomes real.

4) Positive Mantras Will Add Power to You Meditation:

A mantra is a phrase or word that you repeat in succession. Many people use mantras to still their minds and increase their focus during meditation. This does not have to be any particular phrase or word.

It just needs to mean something positive to you. As you begin to repeat this phrase or word over and over, it will start to seem to take on a life of its own. This is one of the easiest ways to find your way in meditation.

5) Count Your Breaths:

Have you ever fully focused on your breathing while you were relaxing or going to sleep? The gentle rhythm it creates can lull you into a peaceful state and help you to relax. Counting breaths is one of the oldest, yet simplest ways for people to learn how to meditate more efficiently.

Start by counting each exhalation. Count aloud after each breath until you get to four. At this point, just return to one. Why one, you may ask? Returning to one is much like coming back home, back to you. It grounds you and stills your thoughts, so you stay on the right guided path during your meditation sessions.

The entire point of meditation is to benefit your mind. Any positive aspects that result from meditation are worthy of your focus. The real meaning of meditation is to build up a beneficial habit. Do not feel you have to force yourself into any societal mold to achieve “perfect” meditation. What works for some might not work for you and that is perfectly fine.

As you are doing, the above exercises make sure to have fun. Never feel like this process is a drag. If you do, its effectiveness will be significantly less. The point of meditation is to feel relaxed and be in the moment with your mind. When your body, mind, and spirit are at one with each other, that’s when peace is felt which is what we are all after in this world.

I practice meditation daily. One of the things that I have found to be most effective is to realize that your mind will indeed wander. The solution for me is to become aware of the wandering, let it go, and then return to being.
